Executive Committee

The Executive Committee coordinates and oversees the activities of the Board and committees, and ensures the satisfactory performance of functions stipulated by the Local Elected Officials, as well as all pertinent local, state, and federal statutes and regulations. The Executive Committee also monitors and guides the administrative management of the Board.

Youth Committee

The Youth Committee provides information to assist with planning and other issues related to youth, identifies eligible providers of youth workforce activities, recommends entering into contracts on a competitive basis, and conducts oversight of youth workforce-related activities.

One-Stop Committee

The One-Stop Committee includes all partner organizations and shares information to assist with operational and other issues related to the one-stop (OhioMeansJobs) delivery system. Issues may include: requests for partnership, service delivery, jobseeker and employer outreach, facilities, safety and technology.

Individuals with Disabilities Committee

The Individuals with Disabilities Committee Membership Committee assists with ensuring applicable provisions of WIOA and the Americans with Disabilities Act remain in compliance. Provisions include programmatic and physical access to the services, programs, and activities of the one-stop (OhioMeansJobs) system, appropriate training for staff, and finding employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Planning & Monitoring Committee

The Planning & Monitoring Committee is responsible for monitoring the Area 17 local plan and regional plan and to assist with updating the plans as needed.

Bylaws Committee

The Bylaws Committee reviews the bylaws of the Area 17 WDB when questions arise pertaining to the guidelines or parliamentary procedure and makes recommendations accordingly.
